War Graves get attention
Pictured above are Councillor Felicity Temple, Chairman Shirley Franklin and Driffield Town Councillor Jean Cousins, doing their bit for Remembrance Day. Every year these graves are spruced up ready for a Service for the Children to commemorate those who gave up their lives in the service of their country.
If you would like to join them on Sunday, along with the Royal British Legion, RAFA and the Cadets, you would be most welcome. Children are especially encouraged to join in, by honouring each soldier or airman's grave with a cross adorned with a poppy. The Service will be conducted by the Reverend Barry Shipley, accompanied by a bugler from the Legion. The Service starts at 1030 on Sunday 3rd November 2002.
