Another Winner for Driffield!
At last night's Chairman's Awards, Driffield-based band, Aunt Bessie's East Yorkshire Brass scooped the prize for Enhancing the Image of the East Riding. The Band was nominated by Cllr Felicity Temple after she had heard them play last summer to a delighted crowd, and had learned of the work they do for so many Charities. The band, all volunteers, practice at the Bell by courtesy of Mr George Riggs, and have been successful in other awards recently. Jacky Bowes, Secretary and french horn player was there to collect the award from TVs Christine Talbot and Chairman of the East Riding, Cllr Mary Kingston. Jacky was absolutely delighted to receive this and to have the recognition for the band that we all think they so richly deserve!
Our Congratulations to these Winners! Another big plus for Driffield.
