More news on street lighting

Driffield Councillors have long been campaigning for decent lighting for Little Driffield.   We have recently been told that the village will be included in this year's replacement programme for lighting columns.

Health & Safety requires the ERYC to replace all concrete columns with steel - the concrete eventually deteriorates and could crumble and collapse.  Whilst replacing the columns, the Local Authority will also be upgrading the lighting levels to modern standards - which should help residents throughout the village to see where they are walking at night.
