Bridlington and Driffield Area Forum

Bridlington and Driffield Area Forum

The next Bridlington and Driffield Area Forum will take place at Driffield Sports Centre on Thursday, October 4, starting at 7pm in the main hall.

At the last meeting, a number of interesting items were discussed including community police and police community support officers, highway repairs and the winter maintenance programme.  The meeting was well attended by both ward members and town and parish councils.

The meeting to be held on  October 4 will have the following items on the agenda:

A update by the area forum co-ordinator on progress from the last meeting

•          Riding Around 2007, consultation with the Local Strategic Partnership

•          Growing social enterprise

•          Affordable housing

•          Agenda items for the next meeting

•          A 20 minute public question time

The meeting will be attended by East Riding of Yorkshire Council ward members, town and parish councils, and ERYC officers.  This will allow us to have an informative and open discussion.  Members of the public are welcome to come along to the meeting and, if they wish, ask questions or make comments at the end of the meeting during the 20 minute public question time.

Councillor Felicity Temple, Chair of the forum, said: “The area forums provide an opportunity to meet with your East Riding of Yorkshire Councillors and town and parish councils to promote and consult on local initiatives, help support local problem solving and provide answers to the questions you always wanted to ask but never had the right person in front of you. I welcome the input from residents - it always helps us to focus on the issues which really matter. ”
