Driffield Welcomes David Cameron

Driffield was put on the map yesterday when David Cameron came to meet the 19 successful candidates in the local elections who are members of the East Yorkshire Constituency.

Pictured above with David Cameron, MP and the Rt Hon Greg Knight MP are Cllr Barbara Hall, Cllr Felicity Temple (Constituency Chairman) and the Leader of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor Stephen Parnaby who co-ordinated the extraordinary success of Conservative candidates throughout the county, winning 47 of the 67 seats on the ERYC.

Mr Cameron was in Driffield to open the relocated Constituency offices, which have moved from Bridlington to Exchange Street, but he took the opportunity of meeting Councillors, party workers and supporters at a private party held at The Bell Hotel in Driffield.  He also pledged his support for our community hospital, the Alfred Bean and gave a speech indicating his focus on tackling the breakdowns in our society and how taking responsibility for your own actions must once again be encouraged.
