Elections for ERYC 3rd May 2007

Symon Fraser

As your Councillors our aim is crystal clear, make the Driffield area a better place. So, we listen to residents, balance their differing views. Speak out for Driffield and make sure that the ERYC continues to invest in our town, more improvements for our schools, better recycling facilities, a replacement sports centre, an arts centre at the senior school, continued work on our roads and footpaths.  Above all we are consistently positive always promoting Driffield as a great place, the centre of an area full of people who make things happen and who love where they live, people we are proud to represent.

Barbara Hall

I served for many years as a Town Councillor, being Mayor twice and for over 25 years I have fought to defend Driffield Hospital. If elected to serve as an East Riding Councillor I and my colleagues will be working together to enhance the things we love and value about Driffield. Foremost, in my efforts will be protecting the Alfred Bean. Driffield runs through my blood, I have lived and worked here for decades, your town is my town, if you vote for me, you can be sure that I will continue to fight for Driffield.

Born at the Alfred Bean, I treasure Driffield, but as in the past, the future will bring changes. Driffield folk have always succeeded in turning any challenges into opportunities for the town. New updated facilities, needed by many, could bring benefits and it’s up to our generation to ensure that Driffield thrives as a genuine 21st century “Market Town” – and a centre for its surrounding villages. “Great” Driffield, deservedly the “Capital of the Wolds” must continue the commitment of those who have gone before and move forward positively as a thriving and vibrant community.   I want to help in this process.
