Good News for Driffield Pool
Good News for Aquamark Winner Driffield Pool - Swimming Lessons waiting list opened
Driffield Sports Centre, which recently earned a Premier Aquamark award for
the quality of its swimming programme, has now opened its waiting list for
children's swimming lessons.
Classes take place on Thursday afternoons and Saturday and Sunday mornings.
All are taught by Amateur Swimming Association qualified teachers.
Classes are designed to improve water confidence and stroke techniques, and
run throughout the year. The half-hour classes cost £2.85 each, over a
course of 10 weeks.
Also available are one-to-one lessons and intensive courses. The intensive
lessons take place during the school holidays when children come daily from
Monday to Friday and accelerate the learning process.
Senior facility manager Kevin Dunning said: "Driffield Sports Centre is the
only one in the East Riding to have gained this prestigious award and,
although the waiting list does not guarantee an immediate place, it is the
first step towards it. One or two places are available for the school holiday crash courses which are an excellent way to improve."

other services, call (01377) 257480.
